A creative act is a process of conjuring up something visible from the invisible, of transforming a thought or experience into a form that can be perceived or encountered by another. Creativity is a universal human urge. We each yearn to express our experiences in such a way that others can know them vividly and sense their significance. Art emerges out of this urgency to share our inner life, our visions and voices, fears and passions, and every work of art reveals something intimate about the artist.

The Creativity Club (CC) is proud to sponsor a Scholarship Program to support our community. Through donations and FUNdraising activities, the CC is able to offer a number of scholarships to those who cannot afford to join our club, attend an event, or join the Joslyn Center. A key part of the community service of our club is our hope to make available to ANYONE a space to fill up on soul food - creativity.
Therefore, if you would like to create with us by attending any of our regular meetings or guest teacher events, but are stopped due to financial strain, please contact club president Jennifer Star to make arrangements for a scholarship. It would be our pleasure to serve you in this way.
